Roman Blinds Installation Guide

Knowing How to install blinds is easy with our installation guide for roman blinds

Parts included in the package:

  • Brackets
  • Blind
  • Child safety chain tensioner
  • Timber fit screws

Inside (recess) mount installation

 Step 1: Install the blind

  • No brackets are required. Simply hold the roman blind in the desired location and then screw through the timber headrail into the window frame. Make sure the wide part of the headrail is facing up and the pulley wheels are hanging down. We suggest pre drilling pilot holes.
  • CHILD SAFETY: Fit the cord cleat into place approximately half way down the window. Securely wind the cord around the cleat when the blind is in the up position. For more information on child safety, please refer to our child safety page

Outside (face) mount installation

 Step 1: Install the blind

  • ‘L’ shaped angle brackets are supplied with your roman blind. Mount the brackets level with the top of the frame ensuring the brackets remain in the ‘L’ position.
  • Sit the blind on the brackets and screw up into the headrail. Make sure the wide part of the headrail is facing up and the pulley wheels are hanging down. Make sure the brackets don’t interfere with the pulleys on the blind.
  • CHILD SAFETY: Fit the cord cleat into the place approximately half way down the window. Securely wind the cord around the cleat when the blind is in the up position. For more information on child safety, please refer to our child safety page

Removing the blind

  • With the blind in the up position, remove the screws and take down the blind.
