50mm Timber & Timber-Look Venetian Installation Guide

Installing Blinds just got easier with our simple step-by-step guide to installing timber & timber-look venetians

Parts included in the package:

  • Box end brackets
  • Blind
  • Child safety chain cleat
  • Timber fit screws

Inside (recess) mount installation

 Step 1: Mount the brackets

  • Hold the front of the box end bracket to front edge of the top of the inside of the window frame
  • Clearly mark where you are going to position your brackets and screws and pre drill screw holes if necessary
  • Fix into place by screwing through up the top of the bracket, using two screws per bracket. Ensure the opening flap section of the bracket is at the front and lifts upwards when opening
  • Please note: Wider blinds come with a ‘C’ section middle support bracket. Fix them by using two screws through the top of the bracket. Ensure the middle support brackets are placed along the inside of window frame so they are clear of any cords running up through the blind

 Step 2: Install the blind

  • Raise the blind into the up position and lock into place
  • Open up the flaps at the front of the brackets and slide the blind into the brackets. Push the flap section of the brackets down and lock into place. Release the cord and drop the blind ready for use
  • Hook the fascia board over the head box of the blind at the top
  • CHILD SAFETY: Fit the cleat so the cords can be safely wound when the blind is up. For more information on child safety, please refer to our child safety page
